The Deron School Union Campus Preschool
At The Deron School we recognize the importance of a strong educational foundation for students with special needs and are committed to providing the very best for the families and districts we serve. In response to the countless inquiries from case managers and parents, The Deron School Union Campus is extending its services to meet the needs of even younger students with its first preschool class in July of 2018.
Full day preschool at Deron upholds a standard of excellence meeting the needs of students as young as age 3. Our program utilizes a state approved, research-based curriculum that inspires creativity and fosters social, emotional and language development. Using the Verbal Behavior Milestones and Assessment Placement Program (VB-MAPP), students learn to build on their independence. Exposure to the arts, music and movement, and age appropriate technologies are delivered within the classroom. Opportunities are provided for students to use our state of the art Sensory Room for therapy and recreational use. Our team consists of certified Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and seasoned teachers. Using collaborative service delivery ensures students are challenged and working to reach their greatest potential. At age 5, students enrolled in Deron’s Preschool will be given priority admission into our highly successful Great Beginnings program.
