Working in collaboration with Green Vision, Inc., eco-minded students at Deron I & Deron II are engaged in a new recycling program that will hopefully put a dent in the more than two million tons of old electronic appliances destined for land-fills each year!
Students are highly motivated to learn the challenging tasks used to dismantle and recycle the various components of electronic devices (i.e. computers, printers, phones & fax machines). While developing a set of job skills for future employment, they are also playing an active part in “saving the planet”!
