Teacher Assistant/1:1 Aide
The Deron School of New Jersey, Inc., a private school for students with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ages 3-21, is seeking upbeat, energetic para-professionals to join our team. For those who have a passion for working with students with special needs, Deron offers a positive work environment with room for growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting assigned student by collecting and graphing data
- Running ABA programs
- Implementing strategies to foster academic growth
- Facilitating functional communication skills
- Assisting in social skills development
- Collaborating with a team, including lead teacher, related service providers, BCBAs, social workers, and nurses
Additional training will be provided specifically for working with assigned student.
Hours 8:30am – 2:15pm.
Teacher of the Handicapped/Teacher of Students with Disabilities
The Deron School of New Jersey, a private school for students with special needs, ages 3-21 is seeking applicants for a Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities in both Union and Montclair campuses. The applicant should possess the ability to multi-task and excel in a fast paced environment, as well as, maintain high standards for teaching and learning. Experience with ABA programming a plus. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Work with our team of behaviorists at our Union Campus. Responsibilities include: developing BIP’s, training/observing staff using the methodology of ABA; evaluating data; participating in IEP meetings, parent training, and oversight of supervisees (RBT/BCBA).
A minimum of 3-years experience preferred.
